Basic Transfer Application Steps

Preparation: First, prepare the transfer film, the item to be transferred (e.g., metal, plastic), scissors, a squeegee or credit card, a cleaning cloth, and alcohol or a specialized cleaner. Ensure your work surface is clean and free of dust and debris.

Cleaning the Surface: Thoroughly clean the surface of the item to be transferred using a cleaning cloth and alcohol or a specialized cleaner to remove grease, dust, and other stains. This step is crucial, as any stains can affect the transfer film's adhesion.

Cutting the Transfer Film: Cut the transfer film to the appropriate size according to the shape and size of the item to be transferred. Ensure the edges of the transfer film are neat, without tears or burrs.

Positioning the Transfer Film: Gently place the cut transfer film on the surface of the item to be transferred, adjusting its position to ensure it is completely aligned. You can use transparent tape or a specialized positioning tool to hold the transfer film in place and prevent it from shifting during application.

Applying the Transfer Film: Use a squeegee or credit card to gently press the transfer film from the center outwards, ensuring full contact between the film and the surface of the item and removing any air bubbles. When applying pressure, maintain even pressure to avoid damaging or deforming the transfer film due to excessive force.

Removing the backing film: After the transfer film is completely and firmly adhered, carefully peel off the protective film on the back. Maintain a consistent angle when peeling to avoid tearing the transfer film or leaving adhesive residue.
